About Big Rock Climbing

Opened in September 2010, Big Rock Climbing Centre is a state of the art, friendly, professionally run centre offering over 1,250sqm of fantastic indoor climbing.

Indoor climbing offers an alternative and exciting sporting activity for all ages and abilities, and we use trained and experienced instructors to give you the opportunity to learn and develop climbing skills, keep fit and have fun.

Master our 11m high roped climbing walls for an unbeatable sense of accomplishment. Or experience the thrills of climbing above foam matting without using a rope in our huge low level bouldering arena.

Who is Big Rock for?

Almost anyone over age 3+ can enjoy Big Rock. You don’t need any previous climbing experience or any specialist clothing or equipment. Big Rock can be experienced on your own or with friends and family. Come as a fun alternative to the gym, for a special day out with the kids, for a birthday party or for your stag or hen party. We even offer a superb corporate experience, so come with your work colleagues.

Visiting with friends or family but not climbing, or just fancy coming to have a look at Big Rock? Spectators are free to relax in our excellent cafe overlooking the climbing areas and can enjoy a comprehensive menu including hot and cold drinks, snacks and meals.

Getting started

If you are new to climbing, then get started with a Big Rock Taster Session. Our taster sessions cater for all ages and abilities and offer a great introduction to indoor climbing. Taster sessions can be booked through our website or by phoning us on 01908 583128

Experienced climbers are welcome to use our extensive bouldering, top roping and lead climbing facilities unsupervised. Registration is required, but this is free of charge.

Where is Big Rock?

Big Rock Climbing Centre is situated in Milton Keynes near the Kingston Centre, a short distance from the M1. The Climbing Centre is next to Tesco and Costco just off Mandeville Drive and is easy to find. Click here for directions and maps.
