Course assessment details
Big Rock assessments are relatively informal and are designed to test your ability to use the bouldering and top roping walls safely and without supervision. It is worth noting that as important as the technical skills are, it is equally important that climbers understand the inherent risks of using a climbing wall and the ethic of taking responsibility for their own actions.
A successful assessment allows you to sign up as a member of Big Rock Climbing Centre and to use the wall whenever you like. Anyone finishing either the Beginner Climbing Course or a series of Taster Sessions may take the assessment, and there is an ‘assessment only’ option for those who have been taught by friends and also want to progress to Big Rock Climbing Centre membership.
Assessment only costs £15 (please contact us to book).
