Course assessment details

The Big Rock assessment is designed to test your ability to use the bouldering and top roping walls safely and without supervision. A successful assessment will allow you to sign up as a member of Big Rock and to use the climbing centre whenever you like. All students finishing the Beginner Climbing Course or a series of taster sessions take the assessment as well as those who have been taught by friends and wish to progress to Big Rock membership.
Big Rock assessments are informal affairs and, as important as the technical skills, is the importance of understanding the inherent risks of using a climbing wall and the ethic of taking responsibility for your own actions.
Assessment only costs £15 (please contact us to book).
